For more information, please click here.

LEGISLATIVE CORPS

Legislative Corps is a proactive, constituency-based lobbying effort comprised of interested staff, parents of Millard students, and residents of the Millard Public Schools district. Corps members are provided current information on legislative action and are asked to make frequent contact with state and national legislators on issues that affect public education and especially items that are relevant to Millard Public Schools.

Legislative Documents: VOLUNTEERS

Adult Information

District policy requires potential volunteers other than parents and grandparents of children in the district and current Millard students to go through a review process, which includes checking personal references and conducting a criminal and a child abuse or neglect check. At the discretion of the principal, applicants may be able to volunteer under direct staff supervision while the application is being processed.

With the exception of the TeamMates mentoring program, potential volunteers must contact the principal or the classroom teacher at the school where he or she in interested in volunteering to find out if volunteers are needed. If so, the contact person will provide the potential volunteer with an application form to be completed and delivered or mailed to the principal at the school.

To become a TeamMates mentor, potential volunteers need to contact the Metro TeamMates office at 390-8326 or sosborne@teammates.org. Please be sure to let the staff know you are interested in volunteering at a Millard school.
